Research in process! buzzzz buzzzz~~

Hey guys
16 days to go…. I’m counting down hehe ~_~
I’m doing research for my part – existing approaches. There are a few countries that issued law to ban online and offline violence games. It’s an effective way for helping children back to their normal life – go to school and have dinner at dinner table!
I found some information is really interesting and appropriate. Besides, there are people who are begging, warning and starting to strike the Government for changing these laws.
Law are applied in some countries but it need to be determined on banning.
More details information and research will be in the coming entry….
Look forward and wish me luck!
Have a good weekend tearjerkers!

Finalize ideas for Report
Thursday, May 17, 2007
Hi guys,
Today is a really dulllllllllll day! I hate it….was heavy raining all day.
That’s not a gud weather for me to start thinking and writing about Video Games ^^
Back to our topic, as last class on Tuesday, we did come up with something for the report!
1. Stating of social problem
(Alisa’s part ~ guess that I spell ur name right ^^)
- Video games with bad effects: violence, anti-social, isolation, etc..
- Not good for relationship in family
- Giving assumption
Etc…
2. Research on problems
(Jireh’s part)
- dig deep the above assumption
- giving examples
3. Existing approaches
(My part)
- find out some approaches of other countries
- how people are dealing with the problem
4. Our approaches
(Jen’s part)
- summarize our process
- what we found lately
5. Solution
(Jo’s part)
6. Conclusion
- Big statement for all 5 members of group
- Each member write a short statement (50-100 words)

Just Some Case Studies
Sunday, May 13, 2007
These are some videos of my younger brothers playing some shooting type playstation games. It was interesting to see how they reacted to the game and how involved physically they became with the game.

some research by lazicat ^^
Hey guys
How’s your weekend?
I did research about video games, the bad and good effects..
All of us know about bad effect. They’re everywhere… on TV, newspaper, internet, etc..so i dont have to repeat :
However as the good effect, I found some are really interesting
- Proficiency at following directions
- Enhanced problem solving and logic skills
- Fine hand-eye coordination
(Video games: bad but not all bad, by Mike Falcon)
Some research stated that girls do not play games as much as boys.
IT’S TRUE!
Myself and lots of my girl friends (or other girls in our group), I think most of the best games are about action and violent. Those ‘topics’ are not really for girls.
So if we’re looking for some solutions to create new games for family, firstly, we should look at what theme that girls are interested (more life Fantasy stuff).
I like Jireh's idea about the family game, then people would have a monthly out event...
Hey guys… I think we don’t have too much time…better start on final solution/how to present the improvement for our video games solution. We can start working on how we'll propose the new idea next Tues!
Have a gud night!
